EXPERIENCE
Current
position
NSF Graduate Research Fellow
University of Wisconsin-Madison
I am co-advised by Dr. Christelle Guédot (Entomology) and Dr. Amaya Atucha (Horticulture). I am a MS student in the Agroecology program and a PhD student in Entomology.

Work
experience
Lab Technician
USDA-ARS Horticulture Crops Research Unit (Corvallis, OR)
2017-2018
Advised by Dr. Jana Lee, I studied biocontrol of the brown marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys) using the samurai wasp (Trissolcus japonicus). I focused on assessing the suitability of frozen H. halys eggs for T. japonicus rearing and experimentation. I also investigated potential floral resources for T. japonicus conservation biocontrol.

Undergraduate Researcher
University of Oregon
2015-2017
Advised by Dr. Matt Streisfeld, I studied adaptation in the bush monkey flower (Mimulus aurantiacus). I used QTL analysis to understand the genetic architecture of adaptation.
Biological Science Aid
USDA-ARS Horticulture Crops Research Unit (Corvallis, OR)
2014-2015
Advised by Dr. Jana Lee and Dr. Megan Woltz, I contributed to projects investigating spotted-wing drosophila (Drosophila suzukii) biocontrol and pupation behavior in strawberry and blueberry. For my undergraduate honors thesis, I assessed spotted-wing drosophila development time in blueberry.
Education
BS, Environmental Science
University of Oregon Clark Honors College
2017
Through my interdisciplinary degree in Environmental Science and minor in Biology, I developed an integrative understanding of agroecosystems by taking classes spanning biology, chemistry, ecology, botany, geology, geography, and environmental studies. My undergraduate honors thesis was titled "Drosophila suzukii development and attraction".
